CANDIDATES RUNNING FOR GOVERNOR
The next important election will be for Governor of Colorado. I understand that the Democratic Party’s schemes are already in planning stages to keep the same inept party in power which means more protection of criminal illegal immigrants, more money from our budget to pay for health, education and housing for illegal immigrants, denial of gang problems, and resistance against the democratically elected President. The plan would be the election of Bennet as Governor of Colorado and then to fill Sen. Bennet’s seat, Bennet would appoint Polis as senator to further Polis’s desire to be President of the U.S.
CountryCitizens visited HolySpiritLivin’ a couple weeks ago to hear from Scott Bottoms regarding his run for governor. An article on his platform and expectations can be found on the Community Engagement page. This month we are going to also look into Victor Marx who is running against Bottoms for governor.
Victor Marx was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. He suffered an extremely traumatic childhood enduring repeated physical and sexual abuse by multiple step-fathers. One of his earliest memories includes being molested and left in a commercial cooler to die.

He was moved through 17 different homes and attended 14 different schools. By the time he finished high school, he had turned to drugs, fighting and theft as a way of surviving. In order to escape the insanity, he joined the United States Marine Corps as a means of finding structure, discipline and purpose. The experience and his faith were pivotal in his healing journey and shift toward helping others.
Victor Marx found a calling in helping to rescue women and children from ISIS-controlled sectors in Iraq. The first working canines he utilized on these missions were initially used as protection and security. It wasn’t long until it became clear that these dogs were also effective therapy animals. One such dog is Scout; a Belgian Malinois, a canine who has faced ISIS fighters, as well as assisted in the rescue of women and children who were seen playing with her just a few hours earlier.

Marx later founded All Things Possible Ministries (ATPM), a platform through which he performs his humanitarian and speaking work. He describes himself as a “high-risk humanitarian.” His work has taken him into non-permissive and high-threat environments (Iraq, Syria, North Africa, Southeast Asia) where he’s helped orphans, widows and victims of trafficking.
He has a documentary titled The Victor Marx Story (2012) which chronicles his life and mission. He is an author, filmmaker, motivational speaker, martial-arts expert and humanitarian. He speaks publicly on topics such as leadership, resiliency, trauma recovery, suicide prevention, PTSD and overcoming adversity.

One of his central messages: resiliency isn’t just enduring trauma, but taking the hit, pausing, then coming back up. He emphasizes that forgiveness does not mean giving up justice; you can hold both simultaneously. He often shares his own raw story of pain so others—especially youth or veterans—can see hope and a way out.

Overall Impact
Victor Marx’s journey is a powerful example of transformation—going from extreme childhood trauma to serving in the military, then dedicating his life to helping vulnerable populations. His story resonates particularly with those who have faced adversity: youth in disarray, veterans coping with PTSD, or anyone seeking hope after hardship.
Marx supports 2nd Amendment rights, a limited government, and freedom of speech for all, including Christians, expanded school choice, and support of the police department. He wants to stop government overreach of places of worship, making places of worship ESSENTIAL.
