WHAT PRES. TRUMP HAS DONE FOR RELIGIOUS FREEDOM

Since taking office, President Donald J. Trump has made history again and again for the faith community. Since the founding of our nation, nobody has fought harder or gained more for believers, reversing the catastrophic policies of the previous administration while building on the winning legacy of his first term. President Trump has protected religious liberty and affirmed faith in America. He has fought anti-Christian, anti-Semitic, and other forms of anti-religious bias while ending the weaponization of government against all people of faith. He has expanded school choice, protected parental rights, restored biological truth, uplifted families, ended illegal and divisive DEI policies, stopped taxpayer funding for abortion, restored free speech, and stood side-by-side with Israel. He is the most pro-faith and pro-religious liberty President in American history.

President Trump established the historic White House Faith Office, the first White House office focused exclusively on faith and located in the West Wing, reporting directly to the President. He created Centers for Faith with Faith Directors or Faith Liaisons in every department and agency.

He established the Religious Liberty Commission to secure and promote religious liberty for Americans of all faiths. Leaders of all faiths were appointed to the Religious Liberty Commission and its advisory boards. A Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias was established. President Trump issued an executive order to combat anti-Semitism on our campuses and in our streets.

President Trump pardoned Christians and pro-life activists who were persecuted by the Biden Administration for praying and peacefully living out their faith.   He ordered the repeal of all regulations that violate religious liberty under new U.S. Supreme Court religious liberty precedents.

The Department of Justice supported religious charter schools and tax exemptions for religious groups at the U.S. Supreme Court. It found that speech from a house of worship to its congregation in connection with religious services through its usual channels of communication on matters of faith does not run afoul of the Johnson Amendment. This provides freedom of speech regarding political issues.

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management issued guidance supporting religious accommodations and protecting religious expression in the federal workplace.

The Department of Health and Human Services has launched multiple investigations into health care facilities that violated healthcare workers’ conscience rights. The Department of Veterans Affairs rescinded a Biden-era speech code that censored the sermons of military chaplains. The Small Business Administration eliminated a Biden-era ban on disaster relief for faith-based organizations.

President Trump issued an executive order ending the weaponization of the federal government against all Americans, including people of faith. He issued an executive order restoring free speech and ending federal censorship. He also issued an executive order combating the debanking of Americans based on their political affiliations, religious beliefs, and lawful business activities. Under Biden’s administration, churches were denied the right to borrow money and in some cases were denied banking privileges altogether.

The Department of Justice launched the Weaponization Working Group to investigate the weaponization of the federal government under the Biden administration, including against traditional Catholics and parents expressing concerns at local school board meetings. It also restricted enforcement of the FACE Act against pro-life advocates and dismissed several FACE Act cases. (Radical zealots can demonstrate but pro-lifers can’t?)

President Trump issued an executive order on school choice, supporting parents’ rights to choose private, religious, or public charter schools for their children. He ensured the One Big Beautiful Bill established the first national school choice program in American history, including for faith-based schools.

President Trump issued an executive order laying the groundwork to close the Department of Education. This is the big one.  Everyone familiar with the education system understands that the Department of Education is not needed. It is just a waste of money. The Department of Justice supported parental rights at the U.S. Supreme Court.

President Trump issued an executive order ending radical indoctrination in schools and ended COVID-19 vaccine mandates in schools. He reinstated common sense school discipline policies. President Trump ordered the reformation of the accreditation process, which has been weaponized against faith-based educational institutions.

The Department of Education ordered schools to allow parents to inspect and review education records, including those related to their children’s “gender identity” and directed the departments of education in all 50 states to remove all DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) programming from public schools.

President Trump issued an executive order keeping men out of women’s sports. The Department of Justice and Department of Education announced a Title IX Special Investigations Team to protect students, especially female athletes, from radical gender ideology in school programs and activities. The Department of Justice has filed lawsuits and taken enforcement actions against states such as California and Maine for failing to protect women and girls in sports.

President Trump issued an executive order restoring biological truth to the federal government and affirming the reality that there are only two sexes, male and female. He issued an executive order protecting children from chemical and surgical mutilation.

The Department of Justice supported the right of states to ban gender transition drugs for minors at the U.S. Supreme Court. The Department of Health and Human Services issued a report highlighting the “significant harms” of gender transition drugs and procedures for minors. It also launched a portal for whistleblowers to file complaints regarding the chemical and surgical mutilation of children.

The Department of Health and Human Services clarified that gender dysphoria is not a disability under key federal laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act. It rescinded Biden-era guidance on “gender-affirming care.” The Federal Trade Commission held a workshop on “The Dangers of ‘Gender-Affirming Care’ for Minors.”

President Trump mandated enforcement of the Hyde Amendment, ending the use of federal taxpayer dollars to fund or promote elective abortion in America. He ended the use of federal taxpayer dollars to fund nongovernmental organizations that perform or promote coercive abortion or involuntary sterilization internationally. He also ended funding for abortion for illegal immigrants, abortions at Department of Veterans Affairs hospitals, and reimbursements by the Department of Defense for service members’ abortion-related travel expenses.

President Trump has done many other things that have provided benefits to churches and to Christian values and God-given rights.  If you would like to look at more of these benefits, go to: https://www.whitehouse.gov/articles/2025/09/president-trumps-top-100-victories-for-people-of-faith/

We in Christian and Conservative circles should find strength and hope in what our President is doing.  Thank you!

When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice.
But when the wicked are in power, they groan.
